I was asked to paint a portrait of a beautiful Springer spaniel names 'Quizzy'. He was a dearly loved family pet who had sadly passed away. His owner asked me to use a selection of photographs taken over several years to create this painting. They also asked me if it were possible to show him sitting in a bluebell wood, which I thought was a lovely idea! Every commissioned painting I create is special and unique and a real privilege to do!
I had been given about 10 different photographs of Quizzy to work from. After chatting things over I prepared a watercolour sketch with a composition idea. Sometimes I prepare several of these for you to choose which one you like the most.
Once the composition was agreed and finalised the painting could begin! Timescale - This painting took approximately four weeks from start to finish but I will always do my best to work to a particular date if it is a birthday or special occasion.

Delivery can be arranged. All oil paintings can be shipped framed. Watercolours can be shipped mounted but not glazed as it is too risky!
